Families that have outstanding cookie balances: Please turn in the remaining funds ASAP. Council will not release your child's cookie prizes until the debt has been settled. If you have questions, please call Mandy.
Girls should arrive wearing their troop t-shirts and vests, ready to take a photo! We will haul out, count, and take a picture with the 200+ cookies the girls collected for their Adopt-a-Grandparent project. We plan to submit the photo to the newspaper!
We will also make our Thank You cards since we ran out of time last week.(Braum's, SU Cookie manager, and the businesses that allowed us to host cookie booths.)
Girls need to start bringing a reusable water bottle to meetings.
Last week we started a "personal responsibility" plan. Girls were given calendars for writing important dates. These calendars are for the girls to keep track of on their own, so please don't forget to check our troop calendar for full event details and anything she may have overlooked. We have also implemented a post-it note system for Girl Scout related things she has to remember to do on her own time- this will include things like making swaps for the Swap Meet, wearing her troop shirt for the photo, and the optional GSNETX Project Earth program for girls (details here.)
In honor of Earth Day this month, and GSUSA's Forever Green initiative, this Wednesday is the designated day for girls in GSNETX to take the Forever Green online Pledge. She can take the pledge ahead of time if it is more convenient for your family.
We have 3 Field Trips this month. Permission slips for Earth Day Dallas and the Rough Riders game will be coming home tonight.
