As of 3/27, this meeting is scheduled to be at Mandy's apartment. If/when our new location becomes available, we will call you.
Today is the first meeting of the month, which means: SHOW AND TELL! Girls can bring anything they like for Show and Tell, given that her item only comes out during her turn and it gets put out of sight when her turn is over- so as not to be a distraction. Each girl deserves full attention during her turn. Girls should prepare a one minute speech about their items. Please help her practice her public speaking skills so she is less nervous when it is her turn.
Other things on the agenda tonight:
- Make Thank You cards (Braum's, SU Cookie manager, and the businesses that allowed us to host cookie booths.)
- Talk about the GSNETX Project Earth Take Action Project for Girls, Earth Hour, and the Earth Day Dallas Festival
- Call the senior living facilities we have on our lists, or plan what we will say when we actually make the calls. Also- review Gift of Caring badge requirements. At the 4/9 meeting we plan to haul out all the donated cookies and take a picture of the girls with them for the newspaper.
- Compare the Dallas and Fort Worth Zoos' Scout Sleepover programs. Narrow down our choices/dates. Talk about our End-of-the-School-Year Sleepover.
- Lisa- race volunteers?
Parents: We do not have any drinks in our troop pantry. To minimize troop and family expenses, I suggest girls start coming to meetings with water bottles. We currently have snacks, but if you see a great sale (like a buy one get one free) the troop would greatly appreciate donations.
Families that have outstanding cookie balances: Please turn in the remaining funds ASAP. Council will not release your child's cookie prizes until the debt has been settled. If you have questions, please call Mandy.
