Awesome Volunteer Opportunity: GSNETX booth at the Rockwall Health Fair
I picked up our supplies from Council before I headed out of town. I will update this post once I get back home.
This is what I know so far:
This booth represents Service Unit 170 (about 70 area troops.) Our Service Unit Team happens to be holding some sort of team event the same day and therefore had no one to run the Health Fair booth. So our girls volunteered! Yay!
The Health Fair is the morning/early afternoon of Saturday, August 4th. We need our Girl Scouts to run the booth- recruiting new Girl Scouts and teaching fair go-ers how to make Astronaut Pudding (which I will teach them at the 7/30 meeting.)We have registration and intest forms for parents, plus fun GS items for potential Scouts.
Parent volunteers would be greatly appreciated. If you have already confirmed, please do not forget about this event, as we are the ONLY troop working this event. It will be more fun for the girls if they have co-workers, and they cannot explore the fair or take bathroom breaks without an additional REGISTERED adult.
All volunteers in our booth should wear their vests and a GS shirt (a plain white shirt if you do not have a GS shirt.) FYI, the GS shops are currentlyrunning their summer clearance event. Each store has a slightly diffent selection. Or of you prefer online shopping:
