Original Post: Mon 11/28 This meeting will be at my apartment again. You can drop off your child or wait around, it's up to you. Our meetings run about an hour. Call me if you need directions or a gate code.

Tonight's plan: Continue work on their first earned Junior patch, make Thank You cards and more ornaments for our Service Project, and drum up ideas for the stockings we need to fill for the families at the Ronald McDonald House. If you have any connections at places that might donate items/money/gift cards to us for our holiday Service Project, please let me know. In conjunction with Troop 1563, we need to collect 30 stockings and fill them with travel sized toiletries, puzzle books, and other small items for family use while they are sitting around in a hospital.

If you have not already, please bring a packaged snack and drink for the troop pantry. I hold on to the items and bring them to each meeting for the girls. Items should be shelf stable. If your item needs service ware (like cups or spoons) please provide that as well.

SORRY- I made a mistake on the newsletter I passed out last week- I listed the JoAnn's field trip as Dec.2 which is wrong. It's actually Saturday Dec 10. The correct information is on our Troop Calendar.

If any parents want to volunteer with cookies (separately from helping your own child sell her cookies) please let me know.  Cookies start  January 6 and run for several weeks. The Service Unit Cookie Rally is Dec. 17, but you have to be registered to attend. For questions about the Rally, please contact Libby Cotner, whose number is on the newsletter I sent home last week.

There are two out-of-pocket deadlines this week.
Nov. 30 is the deadline for Service Unit Camp. SU Camp is Feb. 3-5 at Camp Bette Perot. The basic camp fee is $15. Archery $5, Horses $25, Low Ropes $20, Event patch $1.25, Bette Perot patch $1.85. You can build a package, or the troop can vote to do certain activities together. We'll talk about it at the meeting tomorrow. The troop will cover $5 of her SU Camp expenses.
Dec. 1 is the Space Camp Deadline. The Johnson Space Camp Overnighter is Sat 1/21-Sun 1/22. The orderform for this event was either handed out last week or emailed to you.
